TBD needs a time limit. Games last ages and it's unfun. There's been talk in the past about various "sudden death" modes, but if you plan on keeping the servers 7v7... then yeah... it's going to need a clock.
(EDIT) also, win or lose, you should get some EXP for playing. Ditto that with FFA (where you rank determines EXP amount). Last edited by Blank; 03-13-2009 at 11:32 PM. |

There could be a kill limit if no bases are destroyed. Like first team to 150 total kills wins. You could do team death match while your at it too.

It's a server option, actually, to have a time limit in TBD or not.

For TBD games where neither base has been damaged, sudden death seems like a good idea. But when one team has the other base down to 30% health but their base hasn't been damaged at all, sudden death and a time limit is a horrible idea.

All of my favorite TBD games have been long, brutal struggles. Seems like a time limit would encourage camping by the team with lower base health.
