Gain Points through gifting the game to people with steam?

I think it would be cool if you would gain points from gifting the game to other people with steam as well, I'm not sure if it is possible but it would be nice.

this was asked before somewhere. it's not possible. no steamworks api exists for such a thing.

oh and for those of you who are really cleaver you *can* do the following at your own risk:

1. click your own referral link*
2. buy the game (need steam account for each purchase. could cause valve ban?)
3. create an Altitude account from the same IP address as you clicked in step 1
4. register the game keys to created accounts
5. you get CP

*By clicking a referral link your IP is bound for 24hrs as being referred by that user. So if you clicked someone else's link in the past 24hrs they will get credit and not you.
