Whats up with this.

I bought this game last week and have been enjoying it a lot. I have gotten to level 30 now and am doing pretty well for one week of play. I usually play on US servers 1-4 as I get 34 ping pretty consistently on them. Whenever I start doing well (scoring a lot of ball runs, getting multiple successful bombs ext..) then I just get randomly kicked and temp banned from the server. This has happened around six or seven times now. Very often I will be dropping the final bomb or running a point when it hits so its pretty obvious someone is doing it on purpose. So is this standard server running policy in this game? Play well and get kicked? Am I breaking some kind of rule by scoring all the bomb drops or being hard to hit cause I make tight corners? Am I being accused of cheating or are the servers ran on nerd rage? Anyway just wanted to get that out there. If it keeps happening I suppose I'll just move on to another game but its disappointing as this is a lot of fun. At least I get Final Fantasy 13 tomorrow

. If there are servers that are better to play on or something I don't know because I'm new , I am open to suggestions. Thanks for your time.

Those servers have no moderators so I can guarantee you their have been no malicious kickings.

Really think you're getting kicked because you're too good?

Only thing I know of is you could be getting ping spikes and lagging out...though it would say so. People can't "secretly" kick you.

Not really saying its because I'm too good. It just seemed weird to me that it only happens when I am doing particularly well and right as I'm driving home a point or dropping a bomb, and if I'm doing sucky I have no problems. I'm open to it being a weird coincidence, and am just reporting my experience. I have scanned carefully for ping spikes and seen none and from what I have read it give you a message if you are kicked for ping. Whatever this is just says server connection lost and then I cant see the server till the next day. Don't know exactly how long for the server to come back as I work all day. So are there any other known reasons for a server to drop you and stop showing up on the list? My friends that play with me (one even with the same ISP) report no problems and continue to play on the server after I have been kicked. Does the game keep a log of server activity I could investigate? Thanks again for responses.

Sounds like some kind of connection issue on your end...mainly from the emphasis on "driving home the game winning bomb"...since lagging out can cause all other players to appear "dead in the air", which would give you the illusion of "flying" all over them.

I dunno, check your firewalls or something.

Ya, I suppose its likely that's a cause. Kinda sucks if it is cause friends are confirming the bomb hit destroying the base and goals being scored after I disconnect, which means that I am probably frustrating some people when it happens if its making me harder to hit. I'm used to being able to see telltale signs of lag like bullets not coming out right or jumping. Usually lets me play for over an hour before it happens so if its lag its uncommon. Anyway Ill keep looking into it and hopefully not ruin the game for anyone in the process

Again, is there some kind of connection log I can look into somewhere? Any known issue with the Steam version and lag? I don't run behind much of a firewall and Iv got it set up ideally for online play as I do MMO's occasionally. Running cable internet.

Definitely an issue on your end but I am unsure of what it is. I am not sure if there is a log for users to decipher, but using the bug report feature in-game will send your log to the developers to pick apart. I am sure Lam/Karl will help you sort out the problem. Could be wrong here but it may be better to create a new thread in the Tech Support section with a more relevant title - now that you have some idea of what the issue is.
