Default tbd_EggCorridor beta

This is my first map, and also is a tribute to the game Cave Story, freeware for pc and soon for the wii.
The sprites/tiles were taken from the game Cave Story, u can fly trough some of them.
If u have played that game before the scenario will be familiar

Its a beta map, not finished yet but i wanna hear comments of what i have so far.
Next update will be: bigger map, and background and.. idk whatever people comments

(if u wonder why there are 2 team items, only 1 is a bomb, the other one is hp, cus not everyone knows how to land to recover hp, and its faster that way, it takes a while to reappear anyway)

The spawns seems a little bit spread out, and 2 bombs per team doesn't seem like a good idea. The rest of the map seems solid, but there may be something I'm missing. You may want to add a few more neutral powerups though.

Just nitpicking, but please embed your images as such.

There is only 1 bomb per team, the one closer to the base is an HP powerup, since landing to on top of base to recover hp takes forever, its spawn time is 15 sec. The one in front of the spawns is the bomb, only 1 per team. I ll put the spawns a bit closer nao

Edit: also there are few powerups cus the amp ends up being smaller when u play it, and the 4 neutral powerups that are in the map spawn every 8 secs (both powerups between platforms) and 15 secs (the 2 powerups in the middle, though im making it 11 secs on the update)

I didn't see the second neutral powerups. The HP pickup is unneeded though, landing on the base doesn't take THAT long.

yeah, but i also added a lit block right up the base between the tubes, so it would be harder to get out cus of the angle and the room to get in, land, and get out :P Pro players wont have problems doing it but, meh, have mercy on people not so good at landing

ok ok jeez :P also im making the map a bit bigger, maybe mushing the bases and bombs a lit bit higher

Just remember, that will make the game take longer, especially moving the base higher.

I have made lots of changes, made the map way bigger, more sprites and stuff, the map is technically finished, all it needs is the background, but i wanna get some more ffeedback to know if i should edit something else before adding the background and finish it.
I can only test it with bots, so idk how this map would work in a, lets say 5 vs 5 all humans

Only suggestion for now; Its very monochromatic! - add some colour to it. Dont over use it. Keep in mind contrast and planes colours. If you gave bases area 1 colour, and middle another, even if in soft tones, you would get a more dynamic feel. But you can paint that chains and boxes too.

The visual style is matching that of Cave Story.

I haven't played this map yet but the idea = "**** yes"

Can change much the tiles of the game cus, as Zwanglos said, this map is making reference of a scenario in the game Cave Story, but i ll try to make it a bit more colorful adding a bit variety in the background once i finish it, (Maybe char of the game posing or something) im still gonna wait a few more days before posting a final version to get as much feedback i can and fix any problem that might show up and improve it as much i can.

Thats Quote, the main character of the game this map is making reference :P Take it as a lit easter egg from me to the game

Ok im abuot to finish it, only hing is that it bother me a lit bit the clean space between the eggs and the mid of the room. i cant decide if i should leave it or fill it, but im affraid it would be a bit to cluttered if i add to much stuff, what u guys think?
