Default Linux Graphics Not Found

First, great game, love it. I bought it on Steam originally and loved it, and then recently discovered that there was a linux version as well, which I am hoping I can just activate by signing in, but I'm guessing that's not the case, and if so am willing to buy it again anyway. But I got the demo first to make sure it ran and this is where I'm running into problems.

I run a 64-Bit Fedora Core 12 laptop (that also has windows where I have been playing). The demo installer works fine and installs correctly but when I attempt to run it says it I must update my video card, when I follow the link it admits it doesn't know what the card is.

My graphics cards is a GeForce 9300M GS and is correctly installed and known to be working, it runs other games and indicates the hardware rendering is enabled. The current nvidia driver installed 190.53. The only thing I can think of is that I am missing a library that is required by altitude to tie into to play. Or that it is not compatible as is with 64 bit linux.

Any information or solutions are appreciated. I attached the system information as requested in the sticky.

Welcome to the Altitude Forums WickedShell!

Here are several sites were you can update your Video and Graphic Card Drivers:

www.nvidia.com
www.IntelLinuxGraphics.com
www.LinuxHardware.com

www.ati.com

I have had the same problem before on a friends computer. I couldn't run the Altitude Game because the Video Driver didn't meet the requirements. I suggest you use one of the sites above to update your Video and Graphic Drivers, nvidia works best for me. If updating your Drivers doesn't work, then please post so here. I hope I helped your issue.

190.53 is the newest one, from nvidia. And I have kenrel 2.6.31.12 which is fairly recent to. (Updating now, but I just updated to that kernel maybe 5 days ago).

Where is my driver failing the requirements?
