On the night from saturday to sunday US has changed their clock so please find out what time it corresponds to where you are. At the moment EST=CET-5 not -6
http://www.timeanddate.com/time/dstevents.html http://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/converter.html use this to convert, first time should be set on new york (which is EST) and second time to your timezone. Last edited by Stormich; 03-14-2010 at 10:01 AM. |

I think the best way to be sure what time matches are is: use GMT or UTC which is the same thing for everybody, and as daylight savings there would not be any kind of problem; UTC is always the same, it doesn't change, so just look compare UTC to your country, any daylight it is now (CHECK WITH THE CURRENT ONE).
European people often make mistakes with all the american stuff.. EST, UDT ecc ecc, too many of them, too many different daylight savings, but if we use UTC, we'll just have to look for our country. |

I don't really care what we use, I'm just used to converting from ET. Anyway it's not really hard to convert ET to your local time, it takes less than a minute.

If a game was scheduled for 5pm EST, is it still 5pm EST after fixing the clocks?

When most people say EST they mean ET. ET encompasses both EST and EDT, and switches between them twice throughout the year. Right now we just switched to EDT, but out of habit a lot of people will still refer to the timezone as EST. I have no idea what timezone the people you scheduled with were using, but just keep that in mind.

we used the timezone before this timezone -_- so we didn't schedule in EDT.

To be clear, I assume that if one's match was at 5PM ET before DST, it would still be at 5PM ET after they accounted for DST?

well there won't be a difference for the ET/EST/EDT or whatever guys it will only be for the rest of the world.

We are counting from ET, which at the moment is EDT (switched this morning) and within this month all the zones will switch too so this is a problem for this and next sunday for some by the 28th all the zone will have switched so we're back to normal.
