Two computer on the same network
So my girlfriend and I both bought Altitude recently on Steam (two separate accounts), and we had been able to both play at the same time. However, the last few days any time one of us logs on to play, the other one can't even get past the first log on screen when we start the game. The other person will be able to play just fine, but even if that one quits, the other still has connection issues that don't work themselves out for hours.
It seems to be that whoever starts the game first will be able to play, while the second one of us will play for about a minute, then be booted off for good. I've tried giving us both different ports in the options, and forwarding both of those ports, and nothing seems to work. Any more ideas? We'd like to be able to play at the same time if that's possible. We're on a home network, and I have complete access to the router, by the way. |

Are you forwarding UDP traffic? (Sometimes people do TCP by accident)

Yeah, I've got it on UDP.

do you have uPnP enabled on your router? that's all you need.

Yeah, UPnP is definitely enabled.

Either UPnP or properly-forwarded, separate ports should allow you both to play without issues. You may want to try updating the firmware on your router.
If you submit a bug report (launch Altitude, F1 to open console, reportBug, submit) I'll take a look for anything unusual. |

It seems to be working now. I re-read the top stickied post and opened up those two ports in the 30000 range (forget the actual numbers). We've been able to play together for a while this afternoon now, so that seems to have done the trick. Thanks for the help.
