Default CTD on start

Hi,
I've been playing Altitude for some time. Excellent game, best spent money ever

Game was bought at Steam. I've played it with 3850 and 9.5 Catalyst with no problems.

Yesterday, I've upgraded to 5770. Installed 10.2 Catalyst. Today, I tried to play Altitude with no success. Music is starting, splash screen showing and moment after that - CTD.

I read here that game doesn't work very well with 10.2. I downgraded to 9.12 but still have the issue.
Tried to reinstall game too.
Before I downgraded and reinstalled game, error log was same as one I've attached.

I'm running XP SP2 and had no issues with other games or with card stability.
Yesterday my Java also upgraded itself to 6.0.180
In attachment is altitude.error.log.

Can you help me?

That's very strange -- I would expect the 9.12 drivers to work.

Have you tried uninstalling your current video drivers, then installing the 9.5 drivers from here http://support.amd.com/us/gpudownloa...?&lang=English to ensure a clean rollback?

I'm hoping the 10.3 drivers (slated for release March 24th) will resolve these issues. If not we'll look into additional technical workarounds.

If you do get the game running again please submit a bug report (launch Altitude, F1 to open console, reportBug, submit) and I'll catalog it for future debug purposes.

9.5 doesn't work with 5770

ATI... they are solving problems with one version of drivers and reintroducing same problems in the next.

I'll try eventually 10.1 tomorrow or I'll just play game on wife's laptop until problem is solved

...Hell, finally I found a good reason why I am married ...

Hmm... I just noticed Karl is using a 5770, running Catalyst 10.1, with XP SP2 -- hopefully it will work for you too.

Oh, well... I tried to install 10.1 just to see that 9.12 and 10.1 have same version number. So, installer refused to proceed.
Uninstalling 9.12 and trying installation of 10.1 leads to fail too. There is no option to install drivers, only CCC.

You had checked error log? Maybe something else was wrong?
I uninstalled MS Visual C++ 2008redistributable trying to install CCC. Are there any dependence with it?

There shouldn't be -- you can try the installers from http://altitudegame.com/ in case it's an issue with your Steam install.

I downloaded Altitude from site and it works Steam version still don't work. I don't mind...

Thank you for help.
Did you still need me to report bug? I ask because I doubt there is trace of it in new installation.
If you need any kind of feedback from me, I'll be glad to help

Thanks again
