have you made sure your router is forwarding port 27272 as UDP not TCP?
Also could you attach a screen shot of the error you're getting? |

yes I did double check that I had used a UDP port forwarding not a TCP....
I can do a screen shot, but it just throws up a box that says Disconnected from Tutorial(Game) "Connection to game Server Timed Out" I also have to tab away from the game to get the error message to come up otherwise it just sits there not moving |

Looks to me like this is related to hyper-threading. Please try the following and let me know if it helps:
1) Start Altitude 2) Before logging in to Altitude, press (CTRL + ALT + DEL) to open the task manager 3) Click on the "Processes" tab, right click altitude.exe, left click on Set Affinity, uncheck CPU 1 box and then click OK |

Well...
tried turning off sounds, lowering resolution settings etc... still failed... uninstalled, reboot, reinstall... worked for about 3/4 of the tutorial... failed again triple checked port forwarding commands, disabled firewalls, etc... still failed... drivers for network adapter card, frimware/drivers for modems... failed again... sent bug report... argh... any further ideas would be worth trying? |
