Ok so I edited the map with more paths...Thanks Gemi for the advice! How does it look now?

The spawn points are on the top between the clouds. The goals are situated behind the smaller clouds on the left and right of the map. The starting ball would be under the big central cloud.
Any comments? Last edited by Demuyt; 04-13-2010 at 01:23 PM. |

Cool idea, wonder if it'll work. And the rain might not look so cool, it's not moving after all.

The map doesn't have many paths to go through which makes for uninteresting play and more of a killfest in the middle. I suggest splitting to smaller clouds that form more paths.

New version is here.
By the way: can you make clouds that are collidable only for one team? Last edited by Demuyt; 04-13-2010 at 02:26 PM. |

Much better. Now I'd recommend putting in something that makes getting from the spawn to your own goal a bit slower. Otherwise it's too quick to get to defend, making games last so much longer.
I think not. I'm not 100% sure though. |

Thanks again! For the team-clouds, I'm not gonna try
I'll try adding or moving something that will make the defense a bit harder! And I also have one more question: how many spawn points is one team supposed to have? -Dem |

Another issue: when I test-run the map, I can see everything but the planes...How do I make the planes appear?

If you wanted a rain effect, why not make your map using darker shades and pictures of rain as a background or even multiple parallax backgrounds?
Darker colors and shades, even without the rain, suggest a storm has passed or is coming and add a general "mood" to your map. Of course, the map editor doesn't support animated rain .gif so you'll have to make do with just simple rain graphics for your background. |
