Default Server ping problem

So in the last couple of weeks my ping to certain servers (Phongs to be exact, meaning APL and ladder servers) has increased for no apparent reason. I have normal pings to the other servers located in the US. Also even other people from Europe have a ping of 150-160 on them as I used to have. Even Cloud who is on the same as ISP as myself has a ping of 150ish while i tend to gravitate toward 200, any ideas what the cause for this might be? Also I'm on Windows.

You didn't happen to have any new programs running when you went to those specific servers?

Maybe it is just the VPS hosting services or something of the sort.

And are you still having the ping problems or was it just one or two times?

Maybe tools like lowerping.com or smoothping.com; tools that are useful in lowering your ping might help.

Neither of those sites mentioned support Altitude.
