A few days ago, I was playing in tbd_cave. The other team only had a few points left on their base, and somehow all the defenders were off dogfighting and had let me slip through with the bomb. I was on the final approach to their base, with no one even in sight except NinjaFetus in a Loopy, who'd just left the base with their bomb on the upper path. He looped back around, but he was low on energy from afterburning and had no chance of shooting my Bomber down before I hit the base.
...So he dropped his bomb on me. At point blank. I've never seen two planes get blown so far at once. Both of us went spinning off towards opposite ends of the map at ridiculous speed. It was awesome. Some damn quick thinking on NinjaFetus' part, too. More generally, I love the feeling of setting out with the bomb and watching my whole team fall into place ahead and behind to see me safely through, and of watching my plane go down in flames knowing that the hit I just took let my teammate get through with the bomb. That stuff's great. What are your awesome Altitude moments? |

A tendency of some of the newer players is to drop the bomb when the are pressured regardless of where they are.
A great moment is when I am pressuring a team's base and a newer player has the bomb, he freaks out and drops it and I happen to have a shield power-up. I use the shield to reflect the bomb into his own base. Great reactions all around. |

Bomb shield reflections are always awesome.
![]() One of my favorite moments was actually from the old Alt. Back then, landing was the only way to heal on team maps, so it was a lot more common. One time some guy was fighting some other guy and chased him back to his base. The chasee landed to heal, and meanwhile there was already a few other people on the runway. And in those days, landing automatically turned your plane around, so everyone would be facing the same way when they took off. Anyway, the chaser, thinking quickly, flew down and dropped a wall in front of the runway... like 3-4 guys all ran straight into it and died. After that, walling runways became a semi-common tactic. |

We were playing the core, the other team had very little HP. All of their defenders were fighting our bomb carrier at the top while I was fighting with PBS who also had a bomb. Anyway, the other attempt was unsuccessful, but I killed PBS, took the bomb, bombed the base and won the game.
The next day, Playing middleground, the other team had very little HP. Again, PBS had the bomb, I killed PBS, took the bomb, bombed the base and won the game. The funniest thing was seeing his reaction though. |

i love when halfway through a game, you and the other players on your team realize your base is 2 bombs away from death and the other base is untouched. then everyone starts working harder and banding together, making awesome catches/kills/saves and epic bomb runs, ususally eventually winning the game.

I was playing on woods as orange and saw the blue bomb was flying around. I chased it all the way right in front of the blue base. The blue bomber panicked and dropped the bomb trying to kill me. I activated my shield power up and the bomb flew and hit his base, damaging it!
