Steam-Stand Alone Version User Support

For those of us who bought Altitude through Steam (like me), we can't log in as a user for the Stand Alone version used with making your own servers (and we can't log in with our steam accounts or the email we used for our steam account). I was wondering if it was possible to add support to log in with your Steam account on the stand alone version?

You can download the stand-alone version in order to obtain the server applications, but you won't be able to play from it.

Would it be possible if we could log in to the stand alone version of Altitude with our steam accounts?

If you purchase Altitude from Steam you must play Altitude from Steam.
