You can do better you say? Then lets see it! Go down in history as the dude(t) that created the video for the greatest game in the world!

The best program I could find is called iShowU but I couldn't get a good enough video on either of my computers (both Macs). What kind of hardware do you have in your mac book pro? Is it one of the newest ones? I have a mac book pro laptop but its the older generation at about 1.5 years old and it still had a hard time recording quality video from screen capture.

cloudfront takes 0-24hrs to propagate out the website to all the edge servers. You probably just saw the site on a non updated edge server... it should be working now.

hey i hope you dont mind, we're using your video on our mogulus channel - which, right now, is 7+ minutes looping of altitude material. we're going to stream the league matches there and stuff

are there other altitude videos i should know about/put up there?

Fraps is the best/only way I've found to effectively capture altitude. I just set the game to 1024x768 and capture at 30fps.

I used fraps for the old altitude, assume it would work well with this one also.

Same, I capture everything at 30 fps and it runs real smooth. Video runs at 29.97 fps anyways so it works out great (it only looks choppy while you're recording it because there's no motion blur between frames, but it manages to solve itself after processing).

Capturing at 30fps is pretty bad for playing though since the choppyness is kind of distracting, so I only capture as a spectator. If you want to play at the same time and have it run smoothly then the only option I know of is to just get used to playing the game at 30 fps =/

That's really not as bad if you to the /testTargetFrameRate thing, I find. I've captured a bunch of footage while playing, and its really not that much of a change for me that way.

The Camtasia Studio (http://www.techsmith.com/camtasia.asp) also seems to work fine and it runs better in some ways for me. so if anyone got issues with fraps maybe give it a try

does anyone know of anything that uses less resources than fraps?

i tried fraps at 1024x768, with sound, and it maxed out at 13fps.
