I dont think the aim is to have HUGE impact but a significant enough one to balance it in which case I think it will! its great you support it to boko as you play ball more than most of the people offering their opinions =]

Ball is already full of trickster randas, if trickster gets a buff, pretty soon ball will be a bunch of trickster randas wraping away from the opposing team.

a buff to repair drone will not have huge effect on trickster since with so low health and such a clustered mode (ball) repair drone is not very useful. i use HA for randa in ball since you dont have enough time to repair and you just die to spam i would still use HA even if drone was 100% working.. it would help out in tbd where atm repair isnt really so uselful and in a slower mode like tbd where you have time to repair it would make it a more viable choice for both laser/trick (atm 90% of lasers use HA)..

I've only been playing for a little over two weeks, and I'm level 40 at the moment... so I can't say much about balance at the highest level of play. I've been playing nothing but trickster miranda since I unlocked it, and it's the plane I enjoy the most by far. As I've been getting better, I've noticed that the reverse stops the repair drone, which I thought only afterburning and warping was supposed to do. It seems a little unfair that trickster/lasers get less functionality out of the drone than any other plane while in combat, seeing as how the maneuverability of the plane is one of its greatest assets. The explodet can still lay mines, the bomber can still drop bombs, and the damned loopy can still EMP... all while keeping up a constant healing. It makes it very difficult to compete when my green perk simply doesn't work as long as I'm playing my class to its fullest.

yea this is very true, rather than get rid of this function I think a reduction in repair rate would cater this issue quite well, lamster mentioned a potential buff of trickster/laser, I dotn see where else it would be buffed besides adding this feature (back) then again I dont know much about exact balancing just what I think would compliment the plane and other planes it would be against!

Honestly, I don't mind trick or laser where they are, but if TA gets a 50% reduction and Trick/laser get a slight buff because of it, that's fine too.

Anchor just really isn't that hard to play against. The only way an anchor bomb runner can be effective in 5v5 is if he relies on patience and a strong push to compliment the ridiculous shenanigans of that perk. In all seriousness though, nerf away. The miranda never has, nor ever will be immune to 'balancing' because there's always something to complain about, isn't there.

Lamster, please do me a favor and respond to me directly as to whether or not a trickster buff will ever go down. After the recent biplane buff resulting from nobo's thread, I thoroughly discussed my thoughts on the age-old trick nerf here:

well put. as much as i feel the same way, i've gotten used to dealing with the repair situation on trick and it has made me a slightly better player. in principle though, i believe we are justified in our ill-considered btching.
