Ladder rules and bans

i am currently banned from ladder for trying to kick a player that had 2 lag bombs (very obvious ones) 1. went through my whale when i was right in front blocking base after he lobbed, 2. he lobbed again and a loopy on my team followed it for like 3 sec and he didn't explode with the bomb, after i said dont pick up the bombs its not fair, he keep bomb running. i then tried to kick him and after the game was banned for 2 days.

now im not complaining because i lost im complaining because of laggers bomb running in LADDER!

As of now im taking a stand from ladder until the rules are changed up a bit, anyone willing to join me is welcome.

So what do you think the max ping should be for bomb runners?

I was banned twice for 3 days, because I left midgame. Guess what I did? I stopped joining ladder games, especially if I knew I was going to leave soon. Simple. Quit griping about it.

depends i think we should test it.
im also boycotting because im banned for 2 days.

is the ban the same for a person that goes in as a troll and goes *capts* blah blah blah blah!!!! and having a good reason to kick?

Optimally, nothing more then 150. Unfortunately, this only lets a few Europeans bomb and almost no Asians or Aussies. Due to that, 150 doesn't work. Anything over 225 is just dumb luck catching it though, but I'm not sure that a ping cap would work while leaving a fair playing field.

While lag running is generally frowned apon, when people are playing for points or any other sort of prize, sportsmanship ceases to exist. The only solution we have on hand without massively thinning the number of people that can play is to just suck it up and move on.

Mled, a boycott implies you're leaving by choice. A ban forces you to leave. The two are mutually exclusive. :P

also, i could take out my internet wire for 500 ping and bomb run? oh or better example when i went to europe to visit family i NEVER bomb ran in ladder maybe because i felt like an ass and a cheater doing that, i no its hard to make a ping cap but the person doesnt have to always bomb or something? mayeb every other bomb that person can pick it up?

Seems to me you kicked him under edict 11 and 12. Did you try and kick him mid-game or after game?

I hate lag bombs as much as the next guy, but Ladder is hosted in America and Altitude has a pretty international cast. As much as I hate trying to catch lag-bombs, I don't think I'd like ladder if most of my f-list couldn't/didn't want to join because they have too high a ping for people to deal with. The strategy for dealing with lag-bombers is simple, don't let them get near the base. It's kinda the same strategy for dealing with anchor bombers or bomb-runners who are really really good. Since they are more or less guaranteed a hit if they get close to base, don't let them get there. You can do this and still have a viable offense by staggering bombs, that is to say, not picking up your bomb until you've stopped the lagger.

Haha and flight ur ping is only like 160 too so its not even bad at all. I mean yes its a bit of lag but the combination of ur smexy lobs with the little bit of lag makes it seem worse.
