Increase the turret limit...
...because 63 turrets are to little.
I am working on a map and got in the half of the map over 80 turrets, every time I want to export the map it shows "invalid map - Max turret count is 63 (current map has 82)" -.- Why at all there is a limit for the turrets??? When someone want to build a big map (like me) why he can't use more turrets? ______________________________ sry bad english.. |

I would say that this limit is due to the fact that the co-op mode, which is the only one where such a number of turrets can make sense, is fairly new and haven't become official yet.
In any of the current official modes, 63 turrets is totally insane. I'm betting that if co-op becomes official, developers will change this. |

I think you'll find that the original idea behind limiting turret numbers is also to prevent "turret-farming", which was originally an issue for players who wished to restrict servers to Level 60 (when there was less players) as well as to inhibit people abusing the ACE system.
However, my second statement is somewhat redundant since the xP cap was placed per round for turrets, so even if you destroyed them all you could only obtain, persay, 100xP. If CO-OP does become official eventually, I can see the need for large amounts of turrets, but is your map designed to have a very turret-concentrated area, or just a large map? |

Also, I can imagine more then 63 turrets may cause altitude to choke if they all fire in unison. I'm guessing that's the cause behind this....
