Right now, your K:D ratio and achievements are tracked.
But what if the Hangar Deck tracked much more? For example, what if it tracked assists, and ever 3-4 assists was worth a kill? (I like taking the roll of acid loopy with the sole intention of aciding as many people as possible to give my team an advantage, and I get absolutely zero benifet out of it). If the coding could be done, it could also track things like if you get hit with a bomb that was on a trajectory to hit your base (block) or if you shield the bomb away etc. For now, it'd be easy to track assists, goals, base damage etc. and for the future, more advanced things could be something on the To Do list. Let me know what you guys think, because I like the idea of people being acknowledged for more than just kills and deaths. (P.S. Something similar to what TF2 does would be good) Last edited by Mr. Smooth; 06-22-2010 at 05:49 AM. |

If you are good, people will know. K/D doesn't really matter at all in the long run. On topic, this has been brought up and rejected many times.

I just think that it's a bit odd that I can get 100 assists and 0 kills (exageration) and still be counted as the worst on my team. |

If you're looking for recognition, you're not going to get it playing low-kills acid loopy on a public server. If you're playing competitively (e.g. for a clan or in ladder matches), people will know if you're pulling your weight regardless of your ratio.
Most players in pub games don't appreciate assists. I know, I play acid loopy 90% of the time. So if you want people shouting your name (in a good way), you'll either need to bump up those kills or join a clan, probably. |
