I had made a bunch of maps last week but never really thought to post them here. After seeing Cokane's post, I feel kind of dumb. Here they are, with links, images and brief descriptions. Also, I am not really capable of producing any (good) original art, so.. thanks to Maimer. If I stole anyone else's art, thank you, too!
First: tbd_orbit download url This is the map that's been played the most. We put it up on a custom TL server for a day or two a little while back. I've since touched up the layout up a bit. It's the most straightforward map of the bunch and played pretty well when it was tested. Second: tbd_armada download url It's got a wrap around and a bunch of of chokes. I made this a few weeks ago and I realize now that it's like middleground turned upside down. Hm! The point of this map, I guess, is that there is a neutral turret in the open area of the middle. I think neutral turrets, if used well, can add a lot to a map. And I think I've opened it up outside of the spawns and make it more interesting to attack. Maybe? Let's test it. Third: tbd_technical download url This is tec27's concept come to life. Bases are in the middle-top of the map, spawns are on opposite sides and the bomb is below. We tested this map for a bit and it seemed fun. We added a wrap around and are thinking about adding a turret or two as well. I'm not really sure what to say because I haven't seen it played enough. Fourth: tbd_martian download url This is the first map I had made a while ago. You'll notice immediately that I couldn't figure out how to handle images at all .. so.. Still, I think the layout can be cool. It's not exactly aesthetically pleasing but I enjoyed testing it out when we messed around with it. If people like it, I can redo the art and maybe even stop stealing everyone else's map-art work?? There we go. That's all for now. Now that I have an idea of where to put my maps, I'll make a few (better) ones soon. |

I like the look of technical, it's something new. I hope to see it in the rotation sometime.

orbit seems cool. i think there are too many turrets.
technical is interesting... i think it may be a little too hard to bomb. armada feels a little cramped. some pretty tight turns up top. might be good though 5v5. low turret count probably helps martian there's no floor? |

gonna fix up orbit's turret situation for sure. armada needs to be more wide open in certain areas.
technical im not sure - any ideas? martian needs a make over. ![]() |

I think there's a slight bug on Technical right now: at least one of the items is set to disappear after a short time (PS: why is that the default setting?

glad to see people making new maps, we've needed some badly nice work cho however ya martin needs a bit of work :P couldn't tell what was a wall

Good stuff choobs, only comment is orbit needs a lob hole from above, very hard to hit the base in a good game presently.
