I tried to make this map with a little something for everyone.

It's rather large, which slightly undermines the Explodet's ability to dominate the middle. To compensate for this, the Explodets do massive work in the caves.
Bombers have nice spamlanes all over the place, but the entrances in the middle are wide enough that it takes a fair degree of prediction to get the angle just right.
Loopies, go nuts. I think Loops got the most from this.
Mirandas (Trick and TA) can have some fun hiding behind rocks and shooting at people as they run between cover. Lasers can enjoy the rocks in a similar way.
Biplanes, plenty of vertical space to swoop down from.


I know the graphics are stolen, but I lack the photoshoop skills to give this map a facelift. Also, I tried to contact the owner of the graphics, but I don't think he plays anymore. (Or at least under a different name)

Feedback appreciated, and anyone who wants to host it is welcome to.

I really like the layout of this. It is pretty open, but definitely has some hiding spots, and there are numerous alleys to bomb.

Perhaps most important, though, is that I really like how the spawns are separated from the base. This shouldn't run into many lucky spawn blocks, which is definitely a good thing in my opinion.

I'm no pig_bomb, but let me know if you want to have some graphics made up for this. I might be able to give it more of a drawn and shaded look overall (as opposed to some some highly detailed photo textures with no shading and some drawn shapes with minor shading), and make it all less stolen, yay!

Like it! I think its a nice layout!
Maybe bottom route is tooo big climb, maybe not.
I wish i could offer my help with graphics but time is now short and my dead head needs vacations...

The bottom route was designed to be hard, and mainly used in 2 bomb attacks when their attention is divided. It's easy to make it by the lone turret if a whale isn't blasting you though.

Just a clarification about ladder inclusion.

Maps aren't put into the ladder rotation unless they have been tested thoroughly on non-ladder servers first. Nobo had to put his foot down as people were clammering for inclusion, often without having the map played anywhere before for testing.

Not that I don't think this has the potential to be a great map, because I definitely do, I just want to make sure that a realistic sequence of events is in mind. I'd talk to gemi or krawz and get this on arr #3 and bomb dojo for some good testing. In that time, you can make whatever layout changes are needed, as well as upgrade the art as desired.

From there, ladder awaits = ]

Very nice layout. I like the feel of the map; kinda eerie.

Edit: I like the openness of the layout. It feels like it would make a good ball map, also. I'm expecting some fast paced action. Is it on any servers yet?

That means it worked. I was trying to get that "Sparse wasteland devoid of all life" feel. While the original version of it was a bit scaled down, it suffered from bombers being massively OP and didn't give the "dead" atmosphere the same.

The layout is oddly similar to bay, but definitely less tunnel oriented (which was the main downfall of bay anyhow).

Great minds think alike, amirite!?

Yesh.

The biggest thing I'm worried about is whales making bombing overly hard due to the chokes in the caverns, but whales are (in theory) near useless elsewhere. Only playtesting will tell.
