World of Tanks

So while on my 2 day ladder ban for calling klf **** (klf is **** btw) I decided to try out a new game. Its called World of Tanks, its basically free to play 15 v 15 tanks with 5 different tank classes (lights, mediums, heavies, howitzers, tank destroyers etc) and you get experience to unlock new parts to purchase and superior tanks. Its in closed beta right now but you can pick up a key at:

(btw your starting tanks suuuuuuuuuck but your first trade up is a massive improvement so don't be discouraged)

Btw in a light tank your not that great in a headsup fight its your job to scout around and find targets for your artillery and flank their artillery as its almost useless at close range. Russian tanks are faster but less heavily armored, germans are the vice versa.

some tips for aiming (useful post I saw on their forums):

1. make sure you have a clear line if fire.
2. your gunner need to be at decent% to get a better chance to hit a target.
3. on static targets auto aim is not needed unless you are moving.
4. use auto aim on moving targets. you will get a better chance hitting them.
5. when you are sniping (hidden in a bush) hold your croshair on a target wait til the gunner gets a better aim. you will see when the green circle gets more tight, after that pull trigger
6. also depends on the gun you are using. the german 10.5 (aka marsmellow gun) is not that accurate as the german long 8.8

You can lock your gun on a tank by right clicking them btw, and right click again to release it.

Oh I just figured this out a minute ago apparently if you leave a battle after you take some damage aka your tank gets blown up you will get points for that battle and can go on and join another battle right away with another one of your tanks.

Yea my connection was like 300 ping constant. So laggy. But on altitude its only about 40-47. Graphics are a bit too much.

Yeah I got same ping but its pretty playable I rarely see it interfere.

Really? I guess its my connection then. I could kinda tell where I was going, but the turning and firing was hard with the lag. MIght start playing again when I get my connection fixed tomorrow.

Well lag causes more teleporting tanks, sounds like your just in a lesser tank at the moment. The B2 is really fun and a great money maker I strongly advise aiming for that one first (shouldnt take long to get). You also get 150 free gold per day (this is going to be the stuff that people can pay for when the game is released for advantages) you can use it on special tanks or exchange it for 400 credits per gold (or a premium account).

w= foward
s= back
a=left
d=right
r=foward cruise control (press 3 times for full speed)
f=backwards cruise control (press 3 times for full speed)
left click= shoot
right click= auto aim lock
shift= scope (really only used on the artillery tanks)
space= come to a full stop fast
I'm only on day 2 and I have a full garage of diff tanks so making credits isnt too hard once you get the hang of it.

That tank game youre talking about seems ALOT like the online version of Tanks but just a few smaller adjustments :P
