Remote mines won't detonate

So, if i lay a remote mine right before i die, and when i spawn, it's still there, i can't seem to detonate it, it only lays a new mine. has anyone else noticed this?

im assuming you now you can detonate while waiting to spawn, right?
usually i dont have this prob cuz i just wait before i spawn and detonate when someone gets close, then spawn
i guess just dont press F right after you die

yeah, i usually do this, but i still want to be able to detonate my mines if i spawn too early.

Ive never had this problem before, so...
Maybe u lagged, and the remote self exploded but it appeared intact on your screen
