My Friends Can't See My Server

I'm trying to host server, it's up but my friends can't see it, they refreshed and updated the server names but won't come up they say. Should i put LAN or no LAN and what should i do to make my friends see?

If they are on your Local Area Network, check the LAN box, otherwise you need to port forward. Go to this forum post for more info. on port forwarding
