Ace Instincts and Veteran Bars

I'm just wondering, what the actual bonus is for full veterin bars? (yes I know Ace Instincts increases it by 50%, but 50% of WHAT?)

Well here is my best guess:

When you have 0 bars and drop a bomb on a base you do damage equal to 30-xp. When you drop a bomb on a base with 3 gold bars you do damage equal to 35-xp. When you drop a bomb on a base with 3 gold bars and ace instincts you do damage equal to 38-xp.

Now I figure those numbers are slightly rounded. So if you do the math and slightly round the numbers it looks like without ace instincts you get about 2% increase per bar. With ace instincts you get about 3% increase per bar.

Keep in mind that it doesn't just affect damage though, it increases turning, speed, health, and energy recharge rate if I remember correctly. Someone correct me if I am wrong.

I keep meaning to update the wiki with all this stuff but I haven't found time yet.

Each veteran bar increases turn rate, top speed, energy regeneration rate, and damage. Ace Instincts increases each bonus by ~50%.

With max 9 bars (3-gold), and no perks, the total bonuses are as follows:
Turning + 9%
Speed + 9%
Energy Regen + 12%
Damage + 18%

With max 9 bars (3-gold), and Ace Instincts equipped:
Turning + 14%
Speed + 13%
Energy Regen + 18%
Damage + 27%

With less bars, the benefit is approximately proportional. With 3-bronze (3 bars) you would receive ~33% of the bonus listed above for 3-gold (9 bars).

Is the turning and energy cumulative with flex wings and ultra-capacitor or what?

Those modifiers are multiplicative against perk-inclusive spawn values, so yeah, they combine as you would hope.

Just to be clear, energy regeneration rate is modified by veteran bars (similar to turbocharger), but max energy is not (ultracap increases max energy).

So a max-vet with turbocharger equipped gets
1 * (1.20 turbocharger) * (1.12 veteran bonus) = 1.344 times his normal regen rate, or +34% energy regen.
