Friends can't connect to server despite it appearing in list
So I set up my own server, forwarded the right ports...no problems yet.
My friend can see my server in the list, presses connect, types in the password. It then goes to the "Connecting...." stage of the join (before it starts loading the map). It just hung at this stage, never actually connecting. Is there an obvious answer to this? Thanks =] |

Hello Welcome to the forums, sorry for the late response, but I barely saw this thread.
Make sure you don't have Firewall on or other network protection software. I had the same problem as you did, but I turned Firewall off and it worked. So give that a try. Also, give me the name of the server and I will see if I can join. |

Erm well I've forwarded many ports and added both Altitude itself and the server configurator through my firewall, although interestingly when I tried the Server Launcher it said it was already added to exceptions - even though it doesn't appear in the list and I don't remember adding it in the past :S Oh and it's called "Unofficial WW", using the ball_football map. It might be just my friend not being able to connect, so I'll leave my firewall running for the moment. Thanks |

Thank you - Hm, that is strange since my friend can join any other server (we almost exclusively play planeball these days lol). I'll get him to re-try mine later, maybe it was just some temporary problem :S |
