The Lost Chapter's of the Miranda's Handbook: Chapter I
[QUOTE=Disilord]
CHAPTER I Let's get to know your miranda from the outside to the inside. Your miranda, as you can see above, is a smaller airplane. Notice the tail. It has a tail that shoots above your main body. In the game, you will have to watch out for other airplanes that shoot at you when you think they will miss but they just barely hit your tail. Watch out for it! It has happened countless times to me because I thought they missed. Also, watch out for the bottom of your air plane. It can get hooked on to different objects in the game. Now that we know the outside of your plane let's see what's inside. THE BASICS: Understanding Your Miranda The randa(miranda) is one of the fastest air plane's in the game. It has the best agility in the game. But, it is one of the weakest planes because of it's small amounts of health. This plane was meant for dogging bullets, running away, attacking weaker targets, picking off planes, and escaping. This plane was not meant to take on a group of targets at one time. It was meant to be more like a shark. It was meant to just take out one target at a time. If you find yourself taking on a group of targets, you have it all wrong. The miranda was meant to dance. Meaning to dodge bullets. This is not an easy thing to do. It took me a long time to grasp it and I think it is only the beginning to a new era of pilots. I don't think you will be able to just pick it up quickly, it took me months to start to understand it. Randa's are meant to quickly dispose of their foes and not stay in long battles. If you find yourself doing this, you need to be more alert for when you see your target and quickly take it down. Randa's are the only planes that can warp. Warping is one of the key components to a randa. Warping can injure a target, when you warp through them. Warping is also one of the key parts of the maneuver I call, the hit and run (will explain in a later chapter). Warping is great for when you have to dodge bullets or escape. When you attack a target, you should always try to attack from above. It helps you from stalling and gives the target less time to think. For all those people who are to new to flying randas, you should work on just flying through and around objects to get to know how it turns and speeds. It's kinda like the first time at driving a car. Remember people, this is just the basics. You veteran's out there may judge me for making this so short. I will discuss more things in time. In the next few chapters, I will discuss the 3 main types of randas in more detail. See you in the skies, pilot. DISILORD PS I may make a training class for randas to start learning how to dance. I will make a thread about sometime in the near future. |

Mirandas can easily handle 2v1s and sometimes 3v1s with the proper positioning and a few bars.

I have been playing Miranda for a week or two already, and I really like it! Trickster is my favorite miranda.

The School of Dancing Miranda's
Hello all,
This is about my learning how to dance classes. I think that I will move forward with my idea of it. I have now founded School of Dancing Miranda's. This school will help all Miranda pilots seeking how to dance. Anyone who is interested please reply. See you in the skies, pilot. DISILORD |

And on a final note, I mean no real insult to you Disilord because you obviously did have the intention of helping newbie Mirandas, but I think that the Guide section in general needs to be held to a stricter standard so things like this do not get posted. Instead of just having a section where anyone can post whatever they want, like Sinstar's rant on manners, there needs to be a sub-section where guides must be peer-reviewed before being posted. |

Yeah, my manner rant wasn't placed well, but it did it's job. I saw it as a "lrn2sportsmanship" sort of thing at the time of writing.

I agree with all of you people who say that you can take out 2v1, 3v1, and the likes. I have done it before. But what I was trying to say in the guide was not to attack more the you can kill. It's kinda like a buffet. You choose what you want and get it for starters, but don't get too much because you don't want to be wasteful if you get full and have leftovers. There will always be more food at the buffet. See you in the skies, pilot. DISILORD |

I've PM'ed Disilord to ask him to compile a complete Guide rather than posting bits and pieces, and to request that he provide content that is innovative and/or more advanced than the currently available miranda guides.
I will give him two days to comply, after which these threads will be moved. |
