Despite the fact we're (you're?) still talking about a definite minority of players capable of OP-style randa playing, have we (you?) also considered what might happen to TA w.r.t. new players if it well get another nerf? TA is already rather hard to learn. So why would any newbie bother with TA if it gets crippled some more? IMO, nerf'ing TA might result in no TA over time.

my thoughts: TA is a tough one to address because really, outside of Mike and Donk there aren't any completely dominant TA"s, although I feel this is partly because anyone with 70+ ping simply cannot use TA to anywhere near max effect. In this respect, I actually feel lag is the best counter to Mike and Donk. I thinkit has to be acknowledged that playing against either of these pro-anchors completely and utterly changes the dynamic of the match and sways it heavily to favour their team.
The manouverability of a correctly used anchor, and the way they can manipulate momentum is unrivaled to such an extent by any other plane that honestly, I think it should never have been implemented. As such, I feel it warrants a significant manouverability-with-bomb nerf, but I'll leave it to the masters of balance that are the altitude devs to crack this nut because it's hard to see how TA can be adjusted so that low ping, high skill players can use it viably but not be totally dominant. Then again, I suck so what do I know? (A mantra many of you would do well to adopt ![]() |

The problem that still lurks is that really good players can become really good TA randa, but really good players can't become really good anything elsez. Heighten the skill ceilings! Does anyone agree/disagree, and why?

i also believe that time anchor is fair game.
killing wise, mike/donk will have a negative ratio 90% of the time. killing is obviously a great way to maintain ground especially in neutral bomb maps. in ladder, however, anchors are harder to stop because the setups dont work/some people just dont know how to counter/some people dont understand their own teams gameplay enough to know whether or not to push forward to stop, or hold back. most of the time, the hardest part to judge how to stop either of them is when i dont know my team well enough. most of the time i find a situation where our whole team is near the base spamming as the anchor chills in the back waiting for a push, they push, we fail. that is not to say that it is the anchor's OP'ness that is causing that. several planes need to give the anchor pressure. cause movements and anchor times that they dont want, as other can prepare for the sudden turn warp forward that can hit a base. as difficult as it may seem, i feel like mostly it is the fail of most planes not able to comprehend how an anchor moves that makes them stronger. also, their ability to understand players and how they react to anchors, knowing when to push and when not to. step up the team D. oh also, another way to stop anchor is..worry about the planes besides the anchor. anchor is weakest when its alone. most of the time teams spend their shots and energy on the anchoring plane, constantly missing, messing up their game when the rest of the team comes in. if you stop them, itll be a lot easier to stop anchor.
