hey does anyone know how to make site without paying for it, and making it not .webs or whatever

for example: altitudegame.com not.webs.com JUST .COM

well, the webs is using the free website builder but you'd have to buy a package and pay an amount every month to have it .com
If you don't want to use a website builder you can create you own using a program like iweb but you would need a provider to host you website which also can be expensive. So in the end everything can be expensive for hosting a website.

Why not use .webs or a free website creator with free hosting ?

It's not like your clan's site is gonna be used by millions of people - it's for a game, it's for a clan, you and your clan are gonna be the only one's that use it, so just grab a free domain...

What about renaming your clan to "webs"? This way, no one will notice the difference!

something.somethingelse.com are subdomains
something.com are domains

The reason domains cost money, is that they need to be registered to DNS servers, so other people can actually connect to your website. You have to pay otherwise you'll have to stick with subdomains (which arn't really that bad if you just want to stick with a clan site).

So, you have to actually buy a domain; you can't cheat it.
