Default Server [problem

Hi

I just created a new server, all fine, did all the settings from the router, but the server cannot be viewed by other users, and cannot join, except the players from my LAN, and when a LAN client connects I get this error in the server log:

[27 May 2009 19:16:42,062] INFO: Handling join request from 192.168.1.4:27272 -> zH@511ce01f<vaporId=e32cf39e-7c22-4133-a8e6-63e766f4314a, nickName=andreib21, loggedIn=true, ip=92.81.170.135:1028, sessionId=0e791e0f-b66c-4efe-bae0-dff414a02955, username=XXXXX@yahoo.com, privateSessionID=5eb6580c-c93e-42c1-b52b-30abca0eb8ba, hardwareInfoSubmissionTime=0, totalLoggedInTimeMillis=, totalPlayTimeMillis=, emailOptIn=true, chatDisabled=false, swearWordsFiltered=false, verifiedMapFilter=false>

Thank you in advance

Sounds like a port forwarding issue.

Open up the server configurator, and check the ports:
Write down the "Update UDP Port" and each "UDP port" from the list of servers.

Now log in to your router, enable port forwarding, and make sure all the ports listed above (UDP) are forwarded to your machine's IP address.

what kind of router do you have?
if you have a linksys router this is what you can do:
1. figure out you routers ip adress. mine was 192.168.1.1 . you may find something like this on your computer. it will probably say 192.168.1.103 take away the 03 or last two numbers on the end of the ip adress and thats your routers ip adress. then go to your web browser and type in that adress. it will ask for authentication. leave the username blank and type in admin for the password. it will send you to your routers setup page. click the tab that says applications and gaming and it will send you to a port fowarding place. now where it says application type altitude. then the port ranges should be from 27272 to 30000. protocal is both, and your ip adress is the ip adress with the last two numbers on it. whatever your last two numbers on the computer is. then click enable and save changes. a screen saying settings are successful will pop up with a continue button. go ahead and exit out and restart your computer. then go to server configurator and set your servers port to 27279. then everything else should work perfectly.
