Default Cost of games per hour played

So I'm a little bored and figured it would be cool to figure out which games I'm getting the most use out of, and getting my money's worth.

So it's pretty simple...in your Steam platform, go to View -> Settings -> View Account History -> click on the 'Store Transactions' tab. This will show you how much you paid for each game.

If you haven't gone through basic math yet, simply take how much it cost and divide it by hours played.

Team Fortress 2 costs me about $.11/hour ($29.99/269 hours)

CS:S - $.10/hour

DoD:S - $.29/hour

Red Orchestra - $1.33/hour (eek)

Company of Heroes - $2.86/hour (eek)

Audiosurf - $.10/hour

Left 4 Dead - $1.00/hour

Empire: Total War - $2.00/hour

Osmos - $5.00/hour (sad face)

Empires: Dawn of the Modern World - $.83/hour (I had this game for years before it came out on Steam though, so it's probably more like $.20/hour)

Sniper Elite - $2.00/hour

And last but certainly not least...
Altitude - $.02/hour
April 2013 update: $.00931/hour

There's some other random games that probably have terrible $/hour ratios, but they were played on my desktop back home so I don't have the hours played.

Feel free to just post your Altitude's stats. That's the most interesting here anyway.

1150 hours at $20.00 for the game makes it cost about 1.7 cents per hour lol.

I've played for 400 hours and I bought the game at $20.00 also so that would be what 5 cents an hour?

Doesn't sound right...

Haha very nice. Yeah once you get below like 5 cents it takes a lot to bring it down more. Very impressive.

Yeah that's about right. Like I said above, it starts to really slow down once you get this low.

For reference, my numbers for Altitude are $15 for the game at 603 hours. So it's more like 2.5 cents.

Altitude is the only multiplayer game I've cared about for over a year. Congrats Karlam.

Yep, but there's always the flipside!!
Alti its so f'in tastic that i cant even do the math for the all the money i lost for playing it soooo much instead of working

And.. this can get worse; imagine Karlam die (say, a plane crash)... Does the game dies? OUR DEALERS dead!!!

PS - If u guys read this post, please mind taking separate planes for the sake of my psychiatric therapy fees...
TY

.009 cents for 1059 hours. Not too bad. Also not counting the 3 hour demo that I was able to stretch for 3 school days haha.

Motivated by Kafka's inspiring thread, let's see some updated figures!

$14.99/1610 hours played =
.931 cents ($.00931) per hour :O

Looks like I've still got nothing on a couple people even after an additional 1.5 years of play. Very impressive!

Here are the top 3 games I spent the most time playing:

Altitude - 8.99€ - 1388.7 hours
0.006473 €/h

Star Wars : KOTOR - 5.39€ - 44.6 hours
0.120852 €/h

Trine 2 + Goblin Menace DLC - 18.93€ - 22.7 hours
0.833920 €/h

I must add though, that number of hours spent in a game doesn't necessarily measure the quality of it (at least for me), e.g. I didn't regret paying 40€ for Portal 2 when it came out even though I've only spent 11 hours playing it.
