leave messages for friends
I have friends I haven't seen online because of schedule, but that I'd like to chat with. I know they're on every day, just like me, because it always says 'last online today' but we're just not on at the same times.
I know I should get them in my steam list (not actually sure if they have steam... can you have altitude without steam?), but since altitude has built in chat, it would be cool if I could just leave a message for the next time they log in. |

Kidding aside, though, this is a good idea. A small 'inbox' would be the best way to implement this, to avoid having your window spammed with 20 messages at once when you log on. |

I wouldn't want one more place to have to check. But that's just me... I have home email, work email, home voicemail, work voicemail, these forums, etc., etc.
It would be a useful feature, no doubt, but it's not needed. That really is what these forums are for. You can send Private Messages to friends as long as they have forum accounts. And if you enable email notification, you'll get an email every time someone sends you a PM. |

I think an offline message feature like most IM programs have would be a nice feature
