Done with my new map) Still waiting for someone to help with test

i like the concept of a canyon. The artwork looks too MSPaintish (no offense). However, if the concept is nice, someone who is better at artwork can rework it. Just tryign to give constructive criticism. If the graphics arnt on par with current maps, it probably wont take off.

Don't worry about the graphics right now in my opinion. Let people play it first and see if anything needs to be adjusted in terms of object placement. Then once you have the layout completely done you can go back and rework the graphics then.

There is nothing to change in object placing, even bots can play and bomb each other) If Im making something better im gonna do a new map instead. |

it seems like the rocks arnt symetrical in the middle of the map. Even small disparities can lead to imbalance. Also, there are two spawn points. One near the base and one on the bottom chamber. I dont know how the game determines where you spawn, but it could lead to inconsistencies. That area on the bottom seems to not have any purpose other than people spawning there.

i like the idea, n i especially like the length of the map which leads to more dog fighting. 2 issues imo.
1. the base is too hidden, there r only 2 real ways to get to the base, n neither of them r very good for lobbing, so it will be near impossible to get a hit off since the defending team will just choke those 2 points. 2. i think ur idea of thee low spawn with power-ups is cool,but putting the nuke down there is just annoying. once u get it u just will climb bak up to ur base befre starting ur bomb run anyway. i think u should just put the nuke either in the normal spot, or if u want make 2 bombs, high n low. having more bombs is a potential solution to problem 1 Last edited by yankeeboy; 06-08-2009 at 08:09 PM. |
