How to fight Bombers with Surpresser
I suggest to use the Bomber with bombs or use a loopy and come up from the bottom. This thread is for basically newbies. If you have any other suggestions from you vets out there, please post!

These forums don't move that fast. No need to get antsy for replies.
That said, I have no idea what a suppressor is... but whatever it is, the answer is never the Bomb config bomber. Ever. (EDIT) just looked and the default config bomber is called a suppressor. I have no idea why. |

Nor do I, but it seems to be easier to attack a bomber with, of course, a bomb. If in a TBD, have a group of bombers attack it all at once (my suggestion, sneak attack).

Basically, the best answer for fighting the default bomber is to flank. Or, barring that, come in at close range almost head on. A lot of players have trouble adapting to the lob arc, and so they'll usually shoot right over your head.
but really the basic principle is always the same as vs any plane: try to approach from an angle where their guns aren't pointing at you. |

Yep, flanking is the best option. Flanking from the top being superior over any other angle, I think.

The best way to beat a bomber imo is to attack from above. Gravity will slow down his bombs and make them easy to dodge, if you attacked from below gravity would speed them up. Or if the bomber isn't any good just charge straight at his nose and he wont adjust his arc, so the bombs will fly right over you.

It's also easy to just to use the default Biplane, and fight them straight on, strong, and hard. I have done it several times, but yet I have made foolish mistakes going from the behind instead of the front. If you come fast and hard with the Biplane, or shoot with the Explodet.

biplane: aside from sniping them completely with heavy shot, I usually just hit them once with heavy shot from the top them swoop in with rapid fire and it works like a charm. you can't take on bomber groups too well with biplane.
loopy: can get frustrating, but isn't too bad once you get the hang of it. acid works best cuz it speeds up their death while picking them off with missiles. the longer a bomber is alive, the worse it is for a loopy player. Attacking from the back and chasing when a bomber has tail guns is difficult and should be avoided. But, if you hit once with acid and swerve up and down while homing missiles do the job, you should take minimal damage. miranda: not too good vs. bomber. I just snipe them with bounce shot from afar, really easy. |

umm, i think the SquashMan was just lookin for what is the best build for newbs to use. In which case, i suggest the loopy over the bomber. I think that the bomber teaches newbs bad habits of firing grenades, and merely hoping you hit. I think that the loopy WITHOUT rubber hull is best to learn. Then you learn not to hit walls at all costs, it is a bad habit to think that hitting the wall is acceptable, because i can just bounce off of it. Also, due to the targeting system, it improves aim by having to look at your opponent if you want to hit them.

As much as we all hate 'nade spam, it's the best way for new players to go against bombers. Just come in from slightly below and you've got it made.

If its a level of mostly bombers I find a Loopy on Acid works well but Bomber v Bomber is a good Fire vs Fire alternative, for me
