perk combos
I was wondering if you ever considered giving bonuses for using certain perk combinations together. I feel as if this could increase the use of some really fun, but not quite "up to speed" perk combos.
You could add a fourth "perk" box, detailing what, if any, bonuses are active in your current setup. Example: flexible wings + reverse thrust = Stabilizers: reduce wall damage by x%, reduce/increase whatever by x% Example: ace instincts + time anchor = Phantom: decrease anchor cooldown by x% The purpose of this would be, principally, to give real life to some of the less intuitive combinations. I understand that it may be intentional that some setups are much more difficult to use than others, but frankly, there are a few that are just useless. I find that unfortunate because they are the ones that tend to evoke the most joy and unique play. |

Ace Instincts+Trickster= Godmode: Kill the entire enemy team when you get gold bars.

Turbocharger+Tracker= Deathmode: Get killed by the enemy team whether you have gold bars or not.

In all srsness though, it would be nice, but maybe an excuse for newer players to use rubber or reverse or things like that >.> |

Rev:
-zero energy cost (energy regen while rev'ing) -insta-stall mechanism for faster rev initiation -remove the effect that the bomb/ball has on reverse thrust Ace: -more percentage bonus per bar -xp needed per bar lowered to 6 Though I think Ace is fine as it is, and if it were to be buffed, it should be disabled for Sinstar's account and any other accounts he plays on :< |

I think buffing individual perks is a bad suggestion. Each perk is reasonable right now, there are no unplayable perks.
The issue is that some perk combos are not viable and that is a darn shame. |

Although in 98% of competitive play only turbocharger is used.

Rev + rubber: bouncy mode
Srs: this could actually be useful for some combo's that are now totally useless. I'm thinking ultracap explodets, reverse bombers (they are so damn heavy/useless/fun to play), ultracap loopy (they're always worse than ultracap, dunno how you would bonus these tho), ace instincs + rubber. You name it, many combinations are useless and could be fun. You could also make it optional for a server to check these, so you could have servers full of super bouncy, triple mining explodets and quadruple loopy trackering goodness. |
