No personal messages

Can't access Personal Messages. I go to Forums Jump/Personal Messages and it comes up with this...

Mockingbird, you do not have permission to access this page. This could be due to one of several reasons:

Your user account may not have sufficient privileges to access this page. Are you trying to edit someone else's post, access administrative features or some other privileged system?
If you are trying to post, the administrator may have disabled your account, or it may be awaiting activation.

Enlighten please.

if i'm right you need 3 or 5 posts to get access to PM's.
if i'm wrong, mods go and tell him.

in order to access personal messages I believe you need to wait an hour after you post three times. I had that problem too when I made a new account. It's to prevent bots who will spam users.

Problem solved. I just closed my browser and opened the forums up again. Thank you anyway.

Glad it's fixed. For future reference, you need to post at least once to unlock PM privileges (to prevent bots from spamming PMs like mike said). The forum software runs every hour and will check to make sure you have a post before granting you permission to PM.
