Random side
In most maps i prefer playing from right to left. Meaning, i think i do better when im on the right side team.
I believe not to be the only one, and that the code for this "random side" definition is easy to create. It also wouldnt harm anyone... Im of course thinkin of competition games where we play all the games in the same side. *Not sure if this was mentioned before but i didnt found it. |

im a little confused about what you are suggesting but the game does autobalance a lot of the public servers so dont pick a side and you will be placed where the computer wants you to be

Not talkin about balance.
When in competition games, APL for instance, your team starts playin in the left side, you play all games on that side. Random could change that. |

The only time I find a difference is that I prefer playing cave from R-L. The rock formations in the middle make it easier to run the bomb through them.

Not at all, it's doable both ways. I just prefer it from the right.

I think it's a good suggestion. For clarity, the idea would be to alternate (or randomize) map sides for each team after /startTournament has been called.
So for example, if IL is on the right for game one against BB, then BB would be on the right for game two, etc.

I don't think it would have a major impact on anything, but there's really not much against such a faeture, so why not.

As usual, you're making no sense.

i think that, if both teams want a particular side, a spec should type 3...2...1... rockpaperscissors and each team's captain types one. whoever wins gets the side. yay for solving the problem without needing code

But sunshineduck is talking about the map symmetry which is something totally different. But, considering what Mandrad said, yeah; it would do no harm to implement randomness on side choosing. |
