Video: Passing Plays
Nikon and I are releasing our "Passing Plays" video:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ywvqN8yA1As These are by no means the best ever or even our best ever passes, but they do illustrate skillful passing. Our hope is that other players will increase the amount of passing they do and/or create similar videos about other Altitude skills.

Some awesome plays there. I particularly like the way it demonstrates that even slow planes (i.e. two whales) can get past an entrire team with a bit of skilled passing.
Also I passed the test, on both counts. |

I'll be an asshole and say the first couple of passes/plays weren't good at all. The one in mayhem was good stuff tho.

But I hope that this encourages everyone to get into pairs and try to do the same thing we just did, it would be really cool to see everyone's different styles and they make awesome videos. If you do make one, post it here and I'm sure tg will post it on the Top post. |

Those were some bad ass passes.
Better version (mainly due to the accent): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ahg6qcgoay4 |

Interesting stuff.
On the production side though you can make some improvements : - No music on some sections when there is on the others. I don't know if it was intentional or not but it really seemed kinda weird. - Could see the borders of the window pretty much all the time. It's better to cut like 1mm of the ingame screen that seeing the borders if you can't or don't want to record in fullscreen. - I'm not sure about the extra clips. I've never been a fan of stuff that doesn't belong to the game in game videos but I guess it depends ... Hmm .. Otherwise, nice passes. I'm not very interested in ball but it's always nice to see good play. |

i esp. like how you put "passing plays" right after "whatisthisallabout?"'s name. very clever imo |

Very nice, but there were some laggy passes, as they are in the "good passes" video I'm assuming you guys took the lag in consideration when passing, do you guys really know approximately where to pass counting with lag for each player or are those passes there because they turn out good???

Hopefully people learn from this. I see a lot of players just blindly follow the ball, but this video nicely demonstrates how the 'flow' of give-and-goes work and how to run the lanes making yourself a great target to pass to.
also- nicely shows you how to not play defense Last edited by shrode; 01-26-2011 at 02:25 PM. |

Quite a few fantastic passes in that video, many of those showing a good level of chemistry and trust.

I noticed the receiver catching a bunch of passes that were considerably behind their plane. Neither you nor Nikon lag, so I was confused.
