I've currently tried to jailbreak a 3g iPod for my friend with redsn0w and it did not work. It put it into recovery mode but i fixed it. He said he has already tried greenp0ison and it did not work also. Is there any other good jailbreaks for 4.2.1 3g iPods?

I'm pretty sure it's illegal to jailbreak stuff so I don't think this is an appropriate place to talk about stuff like this. If you still want to do it find a good warez site.

I do think this thread is bordering on violating forum rules, but...

The funny thing is that jailbreaking got deemed legal when Apple tried to sue the jailbreaking franchise. The argument is that as long as a person lawfully buys the apple product, it is his freedom to do whatever he wants with it from blowing up a building to jailbreaking it.
