Steam to stand alone

I think this is where I would post this I apologize if I should have posted somewhere else. I bought the game on steam and I was wondering if I could use the same key and switch to the stand alone game and not lose any of my stats skins ect?

As far as I know, and I'm pretty sure I'm right, the only way to switch from Steam to stand-alone Altitude is to buy a stand alone key.
