What a back and forth up and down battle.

Twisted jumped out of the gates looking strong, winning the first two tournaments while their nearest rival managed just 2nd and 3rd.
Twisted lead ball 19 points to 10, almost doubling their points.

However, in tournament 3 Ball struck back taking 3rd, while Twisted slipped, only achieving a 4th point. In one fell swoop 7 of those 10 points of deficit disappeared. Twisted were nursing a two point lead. Going into the 2nd last tournament the lead was a mere 3 points, less then the difference of 1st and 2nd.

Week 4 saw the smallest turnout to date, only 8 teams, and with that turnout Twisted's bounce back to win netted them only a 3 point jump on their rivals. However, those 3 points pushed the gap to 6, the gap between 1st and 3rd. With only two weeks to go in the league, Ball would have to be perfect to fight back, needing to win.

In a twist the final tourney of the regular season, instead of two single tourneys was mega double week, double point tourney. Everything was up for grabs.

Could the unpredictable Twisted hold it together one more time? Or would Ball pull through with their steadily improving play.

It looked like Twisted would fail, with a standard of play drastically lower then what saw them won, in the group stages of Tournament 4 they tied with two other teams, with the lowest goal differential. Then, only managed to sneak on by in 2nd in the group after the differential. Dropping their second game of this mini-tournament.
Ball, was flawless, crushing through their group dropping nothing.

The stage was set in the semis, Ball vs Twisted. A Ball team the strongest it has been all tournament - dominating, vs a twisted team that when on its game has proven unbeatable, so far.

In a 2-0 Loss Twisted's fightback came just a step too late, losing the 2nd game 6-5 after getting drubbed 6-2 in the first.

With Ball taking out Tv0 and taking 20 points to 8 the defending champions become two time winners.

However, if there was ever a week where blood was in the water, and the rabid dogs of war were coming out, it would be in next weeks playoffs.

Can Twisted make a lasting mark on this league, and take home the playoff trophy? Or will the resurgent Ball put down the upstarts yet again? Will TV0, the dark horse, with their flashes of brilliance, being able to down both Twisted and Ball during the season show that flash and upset the favorites? The perennial runner ups through 3 seasons Tvo could get on the board with a gold trophy this season yet. Then, the long shot, Arr, the winners of the first season of Skyleague have been there all before, they have had the form, the sublime play, and you can never count out a champion. Maybe Arr can sail their ship into the winners dock once again.
