I don't understand. I play the game to have fun, not to level up.

I dont see why levels are finite, just make exp scale so each level requires 10% more exp than the previous one and make them infinite. Gives good gauge of who's really good and whos a hollow 60 as well.

No, please, no. Please don't make this game anything close to or even referencing an MMO. Please.
The levels are fine as they are. Seeing the 60 is like knowing that someone's completed their basic training and you can at least partly depend on them. That's all I take it for until I see them fly. |

I played with that guy earlier. He cannot avoid walls to save his life.

Most dog fighting games (or even games like halo or unreal tournament for that matter, any game where there are FFA and CTF (or TBD) type maps) do not have a level system, or any kind of ranking. The way you learn if people suck is by watching them play, and looking at scoreboards. Seeing ferret with 50 kills and 7 deaths, vs another random level-60 player who has 20 kills and 40 deaths is good enough for me. And i have seen "low level" players doing better than some level 60s.
In my opinion, the level system was added as a way of easing people into the game. You slowly earn more choices, and have a chance to try each one out as you earn it. It's not meant to be a measurement. edit: typos |
