lobby map's background moving with my plane
as the topic. the original/right behavior is that the background or cam doesn't follow my plane, instead it should stay and show the full background picture without moving the cam.
fix please |

We corrected some buggy mouse behavior in the last patch. Previously, mouse-control players could not correctly control their plane on 1024x768 maps because the camera would stay locked in place. In mouse mode, the camera should always move to keep the player's plane in the center of the screen.
Unfortunately lobby maps (which as far as I know are the only 1024x768 maps currently seeing much play time) are designed to be read, not played on, and the old buggy behavior (mouse users' camera doesn't move) worked to everyone's benefit. I'll try to address this in the next patch. Maybe a special case for mouse users on 1024x768 maps -- "camera snaps back to 0,0 upon death" -- will do the trick? |

no i like old behavior. background not moving even when i'm flying. also i'd like to try camera not in the center of the screen. anywhere to edit that myself? now it's dizzy to fly around on the lobby.

To experience the old camera centering behavior you can edit ~Altitude/config/options.xml and change
cameraCenterPolicy="IF_MOUSE" to cameraCenterPolicy="NEVER" |
