Default how do i get my background to appear when i test a map

the map works, but i cannot seem to get my chosen background (3500x1784ish image, .png file) to appear

all i can get is the black default background i selected when i created the map

halp!

- all the spawns n such are in layer 1, is that correct?

a new problem has arisen

the image has been succesfully added to the map, but it is now 100% collidable and this is frankly not an operable state of affairs

2. Theres an invisible object behind ur image that came up when u imported it. Select one lateral piece of your png and move it with transform > Now u can select the object below and erase it.
All spawns and such, must be in game layer. Layer 1 isnt mandatory.
3. You draw a shape and put it were you want the ball to bounce.

EDIT:
I think they fixed the 2: problem in last patch...havent tested it since.
Have you set ur image properties to non-colidable?

no i have not set the properties to non-collidable

do i just right click the image to do that?

which folders (images/textures) do i want my .pngs to be in?

i won't be back on for about 12 hours, but thanks for the above and anything else you can tell me.

Yep, by right clicking an image u get to set its properties. Same hapens with powerups and such.Images should be in images folder. Textures... no idea... never used them. But when you 1st save your map, no matter where your original image files were they will be saved in the proper map subfolders.
