.alte map not appearing in server configurator?

A map I created is saved as an .alte file along with a few folders, like images, _config, textures and so on.

The server configurator only lists maps that are the .altx type, so my map doesn't appear.

I'm confused as to how I get a map I've made onto my server. Can someone help me?

EDIT: I know that this is half about running my own server but it's in this section of the forum since the main issue is the map file type.

You must export your map to generate an altx file for use outside the editor (Map Editor -> Export -> Export Downloadable Map)
