Default Help me out! (save babies)

Hey guys,

In my real life (yes I have one) I am participating in this thing called the March for Babies. In case you haven't heard of it, it's an event/organization in which the participants do a walk together to raise money/awareness for prematurely born babies, many of whom are born unhealthy.

If you guys wanted to help me out, you can do so by donating here! I know that I am just some random guy on the internets and donating real, tangible money to my cause might sound iffy, but I've been around this community for a while and spend a considerable amount of time here and feel that you guys are as good as being real friends, many of whom might be willing to donate to a good cause. I know some of you have also expressed interest in the past in donating to ladder (which I've always refused because ladder incurs no expenses to me)--now you can help me out by donating to help unhealthy babies (which I might add probably needs your help more than I do).

Any donation you put in will also be matched one-to-one by the company I work for (Google), so as a plus, donating $10 means that $20 actually goes to help the babies out in the end!

Any help is greatly appreciated! Thanks so much in advance.

I'll try to donate some tomorrow, sounds like a good cause.

If anyone's feeling in a giving mood, I'm participating in a run this Saturday to benefit and encourage active inclusion for children with disabilities. If you're up to it you can donate here.

I was born as a premature baby (7 months). I can tell you that premature baby are a lottery, some are born pretty healthy following some basic procedures, others may have serious complications
The most dangerous include lung complications related; lungs are the last organ to develop; and they have a long development time.
As I was born really early (usually before the 6 months is considered HIGH risk for the baby's health), I had to stay almost 1 month in the hospital in incubation, as a nurse had to make periodical massages to stimulate the growth/development of my lungs; i was fed through a probe. I couldn't be near anyone, except nurses or my mother, as my immune system wasn't strong/developed enough.

For different reasons; in my country (Argentina) the State provides Public Health to all its citizens (though if you have a private/paid healthcare system, you can't access the
public one); so most of my expenses were covered.
Countries were there isn't public health care system, or for different reasons can't have access to this studies, really struggle to make it through.
ALL medical expenses are really expensive nowadays: treatments, hospitalization, doctors, studies.

I'm sorry I can't; but I totally support this cause.

I think before I agree to donate, I need visual proof that you are able to walk (or march).

The faster we overpopulate the Earth, the sooner the return of brutal Gladiator Fighting to the Death. JK, orami?

Would donate but I'm currently running low on money, however will support you with a mental high-five of awesomeness.

Thanks for the support so far! If you're considering donating, just think of this: the baby you save could be the next donk. And if you end up saving the next kanteh, I promise to ban him for rule 12.

I have sent nobo a detailed proposal to deal with the donk problem - he likely hasn't reviewed it yet.

Synopsis can be found here:
