Default Mother Nature is a pain in the ass...

A very severe line of storms moved through the Alabama and Eastern Tennessee areas today, spawning several large tornadoes, produced baseball size hail, and torrential downpours. I've heard first hand from my mother who lives in the Chattanooga area that local elementary schools are being transformed into temporary triage units to handle all of the injuries and mass morgues are being set up to handle all of the fatalities. She told me that the town of Ringgold, TN was hit particularly hard, with the town only having a handful of buildings still standing. I am heading out in the morning to help with the relief efforts around there. I'm not sure how religious the Alti community is, but I ask you guys to say a prayer for the families of those affected and those that are missing loved ones right now. This video is of a tornado in Tuscaloosa, AL. This was shot just a few miles from Bryant-Denney Stadium (where the University of Alabama plays football). Its one of the most intense videos I have seen in a while...

Crazy video.

The constant string of tornadoes in the south has been insane the past couple of weeks. Nearly 50 deaths off the storms last week, nearly 50 this week.

10+ years ago you only heard about the occasional big tornado in this section of the country, but the past few years it's been like the southeast is the new tornado alley.

Had a tornado touch down in our yard a couple of years ago. Makes you super paranoid that you might look outside and see something like that anytime you get a tornado warning in the area, like I had today.

I heard Roy Oswalt left the Phillies to go make sure his family is ok. Madness.
