Default ball_bubbles

Just something I threw together today.

It's on the test server so feel free to try it out.

Any comments or suggestions would be great.

Ta,
Solqom

i'm pretty sure he meant that the guy who made the map literally took planepark and edited the colors/layout.

If you want I will send you my original work...

So the border of the map looks a little similar, so what? If you had actually compared the two they look quite a lot different. The shape is an efficient shape - flat on the top for bounce passes or shots and curved bottom corners for ball clearing.

But thanks for the insult. It really makes my time worth while. Now I can see why people don't bother making new maps, despite there only being about 15 decent ball maps.

Please keep it constructive or I don't want to hear it.

@ Demuyt - When i wrote LOL i could have added an honest N1 ahead it.
The curves arent similar, they're almost (lack of better word here) the same (i was curious and overlaped both images). Anyway, i dont have any problem with that.
Theres a ball map where a guy used planepark background and he never told me nothing about it... that i think it sucks... again, no problem at all.

@ SSD - No, i didnt meant that.

Solqom.... we wrote last post at the same time. I wasnt insulting you.

Btw. Are there 15 decent ball maps?
This isnt the reason why people dont make new maps. People making maps dont insult each other. I wasnt insulting you when i gave you a tip in the previous 1 you made, was i?
The reality now is prety diferent from some months ago - people make new maps now, and its great that they do them.

Sorry man, didn't mean to rage, just got of some lame public games, and it kind of slipped out =/

It wasn't really you I was accusing of insulting me, after all you only posted two words. It was the sh*t stirring and the implied meaning though tipped me over the edge.

Bah, whatever. Internet misunderstandings suck.

Instead of decent read 'official' and it was an estimate. But there are certainly only about 15 that people like to play.
I'm still new here and didn't even recognise your name from the other thread, neither did I know that you created planepark - which is in my top 3 maps.
I take back my accusation and again apologise for raging.

Solqom here'e my opinion on what concerns the graphics:
You should have good contrasts between background and colidables.
Your background is smooth on the eye so, maybe push for the rest of the objects intensity.
Your border limit would have better looks if it was clean (like bubbles are) instead of that craquelure efect.
Enrich the outer background and you get a fine looking map.
You can also give it all some tonality instead of having it gray.

The layout itself (im no ball expert whatsoever, and im judjing by the image, for i havent tested it yet):
Distribution of the objects and the space between them looks very very good.
Only possible cons; the space under the big bottom bubble, bottom is ball usualy gets crowded, so maybe give it few more pixels. And, the bubbles behind goals. Are they colidable. If so, remove them imo. If not, remove them, cause im asuming all other bubbles are.

Thanks for the tips mandrad, will work on it over the next week or so. Got a few ideas I want to add to it as well.

The border edge is very poor I know please try and ignore it It was really just a place holder til I decided on how to progress it.

And thanks twistedduck, please let me know what you think after having a play
