Problems with the Map Editor
Ive been trying to make a map, but i dont have photoshop. So i went ahead and made one big image in paint, and then placed polygons under the image. The problem is, when i put it in any layer, it stops my ships from spawning. Instead, it has them spawn at the top, then proceed to die. The weird thing is, it works fine without the image (im inserting it with place sprite, not sure if thats the problem.)
So is this a bug, or am i just doing something really stupid? |

The huge paint image probably has an auto-generated collision box (and hence planes spawn, think they're inside a huge solid block, and get pushed out / die). Right click the huge image and uncheck "collidable" -- similarly the collision-only polygons should have "visible" unchecked for maximum performance.

ok, so now its letting my fly there, but the image is on top of the ship...
and the image is layer 1, the ships are layer 3 |

Put your image on a new "view" in view editor, and put that view under the game view

i am trying to upload the exported .altx file though...it even works if i play practice against bots in altitude
and the graphics are from the original Sonic the Hedgehog for the genesis i got the sprite sheet from http://www.spriters-resource.com/ EDIT: i tryed to upload it with an image that had nothing to do with the map...it worked...so i guess that was the problem Last edited by kirbmasta; 07-02-2009 at 09:17 PM. |
