Steam summer camp

For those of you in the dark we participated in the Steam summer camp sale where you could complete the Altitude achievement "Electric Firefighter" for a ticket/entry to win free games. This promotion brought us 583 new players so play nice and get them to stick around and bring their friends!

Oh we also made the achievement super easy so if you have friends/internet peoples trying to get tickets tell them the Altitude achievement takes 2 minutes! You have 12 hours left!

I have brought it up to a couple friends when i found out they had bought it or were thinking about it so ill do my best to show them how great the game is and get them to spread the word more ^^

Can we shut down the football servers for the time being?
I dont want new players getting caught in that deathtrap thats killing altitude.

Maybe competitive Altitude...

I don't believe any particular servers are killing Altitude. There are official and non official servers that let you explore all the game modes. People are flocking to the football servers cause that's what they want to play, just like the old bloomoon servers.

Perhaps you could kindly represent the APL and the Altitude community to the new players.

i personally find it rather adorable and funny that the people that want to eliminate the football servers to prevent altitude from "dying" are the same ones that tell new ladder players to go back to football

Well thats the problem a lot of players just hang out there and don't play with any other skilled players and then leave after 4hours and move on to the next steam game. If they played in official where more maps are being rotated and better players are there they might stick around.

Im goin in ffa servers and official n talk to the players ask if they need anything and already meet about 5 nice players who I feel are gona stick around.

Never told anyone to go back to football btw.
Maybe said go to official for more practice but I dont feel like i make them feel noobish just give them advice to go to a different server and get better before coming on a server where the best play.
I mean when i play other games and im a noob i never go to ladder servers or things like that until i know i can compete. If people say u suck then i know i suck and il go back to the other servers.

Ladder "players" (TBD ladder) are so full of ....
Seriously, you get raged because you are not playing as they expect you to play.
I'm not talking about using Reverse Thrust, or using Rubber Hulk.

For example:
I was playing bomber, and wasn't killingh much, plus we were pretty much stuck, so i changed to Biplane, and one of my teamates started raging at me with "Why the **** did you change planes you idiot?" and stuff of that sort.
They even rage with this stuff at the Official servers (not only in Ladder anymore!).

Its not n00bs who are killing altitude..... imho.

rage is a part of gaming. Go to any game server thats not filled with noobs and it will be filled with pro ragers.
