Default OSx Lion

Hi guys,
i always played Altitude without any problem on PC and MAC, the game is simply great .
Yesterday i upgraded my Macbook Pro with Lion and Altitude won't work anymore. The message i get is the following

Quote:
"To open "altitude," you need to install a Java runtime, but your are not connected to the internet. To install Java runtime later, open "altitude" again."
I tried to download/upgrade it but I still can't play.
Any idea?

yes i know, you go to system preferences -> network -> If you location is on automatic you need to change it. -> edit locations -> add one -> name whatever you want. Choose that one. The press apply. You must have internet now. Try starting altitude again. U'll probably get a different message saying INSTALL Java Runtime

I hope that helped.

Element, I presume you upgraded to Lion and Altitude still works?

I plan to upgrade to Lion over the weekend. Please.. please don't tell me this is going to break Altitude.

yes, the minute it came out i got it No it will not break anything. You need to get used to the scrolling. But you will probably encounter the same problem Bau has (not 100% sure). "Apple will stop shipping Java as part of OS X with the advent Lion. Users will still be able to download and use it, but it won’t be part of the default operating system install" This is why Bau has the problem. Java used to come with mac but now u have to download it manually.

I installed Lion on one of my other laptops, and I immediately changed the scrolling behaviour. So that's not an issue at all. Preferences->Trackpad and done.

As for Java Runtime, I might already have it installed. Thanks for the info.
